Schon die Alten Griechen wussten um die Schönheit des Rinds. So entführte Zeus, in einen weißen Stier verwandelt, Europa. Dabei ist dieser Mythos vermutlich weit älter; er geht auf eine syrisch-babylonische Liebesgöttin zurück, die von den Griechen später als Aphrodite verehrt wurde.
The old Greeks already knew about the beauty of cattle. As we know, Zeus kidnapped Europe transmuted into a white bull. This myth is probably much older though, based on a syrian-babylonian Goddess of Love who the Greeks later called Aphrodite.
